Anonymous Mint proudly presents an epic new six coin series, Anne Stokes Dragons.  Currently, Anne Stokes is one of the top fantasy artists in the world creating eye-catching, striking designs.  This Limited Edition series captures a selection of her awe-inspiring dragons in .999 Fine Silver.  Master Sculptor Luigi Badia is credited with creating sculpts that give the images a three-dimensional appearance.  These exquisite, fantastical, limited edition coins have been struck at Osborne Coinage, America’s oldest private mint.  Included in the series are:  Friend or Foe, Kindred Spirits, Noble Dragon, Water Dragon, Skull Embrace and Fierce Loyalty  

 

The fantasy art of Anne Stokes features life-like portrayals of art themes ranging from the romantic and mystical to the dark underworld of gothic subjects.  Originally from London, England, Anne started her career as a merchandise designer for bands including the Rolling Stones and Queen.  Many celebrities and musicians have worn her designs. In addition, Anne worked as a sculptor and jewelry designer producing items specifically for Harry Potter and Terry Pratchett’s Discworld.  Anne Stokes then became a full-time, freelance illustrator working on book, game and record products including producing concept art and illustrations for Dungeons and Dragons.  Anne has published several books, and her art can be seen licensed on products available worldwide including T-shirts, calendars, cards, jewelry, phone cases and much more.  Today Anne continues to produce and expand the ranges of her highly acclaimed artwork.

The fourth coin in the series is Water Dragon, one of Anne Stokes most popular works of art.  An exotic dark-haired elven princess wades waist deep in water with the pillars of an ancient temple behind her.  Just lifted from the water and still dripping, her hands clutch a small blue water dragon.  The dragon coils its tail around her wrist while looking curiously at her as she stares back.

The third coin in the series portrays the art piece Noble Dragon.  A magnificent dragon with large claws and spiked tail is depicted in a powerful stance high up on a rocky vantage point.  With its head and wings raised upward, the dragon projects an inferno of flames from its massive jaws.  Backgrounded in the dark sky, other dragons can be seen flying in the distance.

Premiering the Anne Stokes Dragons series as the first coin is Friend or Foe.  Portrayed on this stunning round are an enormous dragon with large horns and spikes and a beautiful, fur-cloaked woman in a blue dress.  The dragon has a fierce, dangerous appearance, yet the female stands confidently beside him as though if the two are friends.  While the female embraces the dragon under his powerful jaw, she rests her head against his.  The pair stare off into the distance with the night sky illuminated behind them.

The second coin in the series is Kindred Spirits.  The art depicts a young, fair-haired maiden of royal position meeting with a dragon that is wrapped securely around a tree.  The maiden rests her hand on the dragon’s tail while the two gaze knowingly at each other.  A jeweled, spike-antlered crown adorns the maiden’s head while the dragon also has spiked horns on its head.  Both the maiden’s dress and the colorization of the dragon are the same hue of green.
